We are the college ministry of Broadway Church of Christ.

We help college-aged students in Lubbock, Texas make friends, connect with God, and get equipped for their next adventure in life.

Our History: Lubbock's Original College Ministry

Atlas Campus Fellowship holds a special place in the heart of Lubbock, Texas. Founded in 1946 by Broadway Church of Christ as the original “Bible Chair” of Texas Tech, we were the first college ministry in the city. For over seven decades, we've been at 2406 Broadway as a source of fellowship for countless college students in Lubbock.

Our journey began with a simple yet profound mission: to provide a faith-based home for college students navigating the challenges and opportunities of higher education. Over the years, we've evolved alongside Lubbock, changing names (Campus Advance, Christ in Action) to reflect our growing ministry. However, our core purpose – to connect students with God and each other – has remained constant.

Thousands of lives have been transformed within the walls of 2406 Broadway. Our alumni network stands as a testament to the impact we've had on generations of young adults. The legacy continues today, as we strive to offer a Christ-centered community where students can find support, build lasting friendships, and deepen their faith.

We constantly strive to adapt and grow, offering relevant programs and fostering a welcoming environment for students from all backgrounds. Our Team

  • Jeremy Smith

    Campus Minister

    I’m Jeremy and I’ve been working in student ministries for over 15 years. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a BA in Youth and Family Ministry and a MA in Biblical Studies. I also acquired a Doctorate of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Abilene Christian University. I am married to Leah, and we have two dogs, Hazel and Blue! I enjoy board games, watching movies, and eating food Leah has cooked!

  • Christine Barham

    Campus Ministry Apprentice

    Hi, I’m Christine! I’m a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, a flutist, an aspiring minimalist, and a coffee nerd who can’t stop drinking tea or doodling anatomically incorrect elephants. Fun fact- I grew up in Lubbock in the early 2000s, spending a lot of my time at 2406 Broadway. We both look a little different now, but I’m beyond excited to be back home to help people find theirs with Christ!

  • Cameron Davis

    Campus Ministry Intern

    Hi! My name’s Cameron. I am a Biblical text major at Lubbock Christian University and I love making things, reading, and learning about new topics! I enjoy chatting about anything—from exercise science to music theory—I am always up to talk. I’m a Lubbock local and a huge extrovert, so I’m super glad to be serving the Kingdom here at Atlas.

  • Karla Privett

    Campus Center Coordinator

    Hi! I’m Karla. I graduated Lubbock Christian University with a BS in Social Work and BS in Family Studies. I also have a Master’s in Social Work from UTA. Previously, I’ve worked in a foster care agency and a hospital as a social worker. I’m married to Austin and we have three sweet, young boys. When I’m not playing on the playground, learning how to longboard, and jumping rope, I enjoy drinking Gold Stripe coffee with a good non-fiction book. Although I’m new here at Atlas as the Campus Coordinator, I have fond memories of my early college years here.

    Worship Minister

    Hi! I’m Kate! I am an early childhood education major at Lubbock Christian University. I grew up on a farm with lots of cows in Plains, TX. Please ask me any questions about farm animals. I enjoy playing the guitar, writing poetry, and spending time with friends. I am beyond excited to be part of this community and spread the love of Jesus! Woop! Woop!
